In my former job with Complete Precast, I was the lead engineer in charge of providing the customers with quotes for everything the company could offer on different jobs they requested. I would then provide those customers with detailed drawings on AutoCAD of structures and the procedures that would be followed on how they would be built to ensure that they meet the standards of whichever city, county, and state the jobs were in. From there I worked with the customers to plan out a production schedule and timeline to have the structures that were needed most available to them on a planned schedule. I was also in charge of purchasing all the necessary materials (such as castings, sealant, coating, etc) for the job and would coordinate with the customer and other engineers over the jobs to ensure the approval of different materials. Once the structures were completed I would coordinate with the customer to schedule the delivery of their structures using both company delivery and outside sources to provide the customer with everything needed when they were requested. Before any shipment was planned I would go through a daily quality control check of structures to ensure that the customer receives the best quality structures for their use. When it was required I would also coordinate with the GDOT to ensure that the product meet the standards and passed the strength testing required of the structures for the jobs that required it (for instance bridges, interstates, and highways). In the internship I worked on editing many different models and creating new parts to be used in the production line. I worked with the production line to streamline their processes and edit different parts to maximize their time being spent on the unit production along with checking the units to ensure that they are up to code and follow the UL standard that was set. I worked with many different groups within the company and was able to effectively communicate with everyone involved.
