About Daniel Xu

My research subjects focus on interdisciplinary biomedical study based on medicine, molecular biology, chemistry, nano science & technology: I serve as members of editor board and reviewer for 30+ scientific journals and conferences. 21 peer-review papers were published and citations were over times. Target drug delivery system for anticancer drugs which can control release to tumor tissues using targeting molecules and conjugate chemistry; Gene therapy targeting cancer stem cells based on non-coding RNA and CRISPR/Cas9 technology; Tissue engineering & regenerative medicine: engineering artificial tissues or organs, such as liver, kidney, skin, bone and cartilage; Fabrication of 3D scaffolds for artificial tissues and organs (blood vessel, common bile duct, urethra, etc) based on nanotechnology and biodegradable polymer materials; Medical diagnosis devices using nano medicine approaches and nano particles; During my academic careers, especially three and half year research in San Francisco bay area, I also build solid collaboration relationship with academy, biomedical industries and hospitals, including scientists or clinical doctors at Stanford University, UCSF, UC Davis and pharmaceutics.
