About Daniel Xu

I have a fire in my belly to soak up the experiences and knowledge of those around me and to exceed what I thought I was capable of and to deliver on what I thought would be impossible! For a long time I didn't think my Commerce degree was something I would want to pursue, I chose it because it's concepts had always come easy to me and clicked in my mind. However, throughout my experiences as a student and young adult, I've underestimated how far these teachings could take me and how knowledge in marketing could be applied not only professionally but also to my relationships and growth as a human being. It is from these learnings that I have- Been promoted into a leadership position after less than a year's experience at Dan Murphy's - Engaged in the Global Leadership Program at Macquarie University to make the most out of university - Lived in a foreign country to dive into the unknown and put myself outside my comfort zone - Pursued my passion to become an amateur boxer to challenge myself and build my character. At this point, I seek professional marketing experience which will let me explore what I could potentially specialise in my career, and explore industries I could dedicate myself to as well. I refuse to passively stand around and simply 'make it through the day' but will instead focus on achieving my goals and while I know I'll be making mistakes, I'll be correcting, learning and having a laugh from it as well! I'm a huge fan of anything creative! From content like digital media to communicate exciting ideas, to methods on how to improve any technical skill, I want to know about it!
