About Daniel Zarachoff

I graduated from San Jose State University in December of 2009 receiving a Bachelor's of Science in Aviation Operations and a minor in Business. In August 2021, I accepted a position as a First Officer at United Airlines flying the Boeing 737. I successfully passed all initial training events which included CAT ETOPS certification and the Boeing 737 type rating. In March 2017, I accepted a position as a First Officer at SkyWest Airlines flying the CRJ 200, 700 & 900. About a year and a half later I was offered and accepted a Captain upgrade class in January 2019. While at SkyWest Airlines I have successfully passed all training events and line checks. Prior to SkyWest Airlines, I was a Captain at Boutique Air. I completed the initial First Officer training program in June 2016. In September 2016 I accepted the Captain upgrade. After comprehensive ground and in aircraft flight training I successfully completed my FAR 135 check ride. I was certified as a Part 135 Captain with the endorsement to operate the PC-12 Single Pilot. Prior to Boutique I worked part time at AVEX, Inc. as a Market Analyst and Avionics Installation Coordinator. My primary duties included those of a Research Analyst in addition to quoting and organizing Avionics Installations. During my 5 years at AVEX I have designed and implemented- 5 Year Estimated Operating Expenses – The 5 year EOE is a Maintenance Projection report that utilizes aircraft logbook data to generate actual aircraft operating costs over a 5 year time period- Garmin G-600 Ring-Out Program – The ring-out program compares over 500 installation wires to our standardized installation diagrams and returns a detailed report for any wiring deviation- Landing Gear Overhaul Analysis Program - The Landing Gear Overhaul Program analyses over 500 data points recorded by an Actuator Test Cell and returns a pass or fail report for pressure levels and switch timing.
