Background

About Daniel Zetterman

I’m an engineer and consultant working with train control and onboard/landside IT systems, with a background in industrial control and railway projects. My experience spans software development, train control engineering, site and commissioning work, as well as vehicle engineering on both new builds and refurbishment programs for operators and suppliers in Sweden and abroad.Lately I’ve also been more involved in cyber security around rail: how frameworks such as the CRA and NIS2 affect train owners and operators, and what that means in practice for architectures, processes and technical measures on fleets and supporting systems. Through my company Mimiron Systems AB I’m also on the supplier side, developing our rail2cloud platform, which includes solutions for collection, analytics and visualization of large diagnostic and realtime data sets, with a focus on digitalizing older fleets that lack the IT capabilities of more modern fleets. Our platforms support subsystem enhancements for TCMS, PIS, and APC, such as recording of process variables, enhanced vehicle diagnostics, customer-created alarms, remote upload of timetables and other artifacts for PIS systems, as well as APC solutions with onboard APC servers and remote analytics of passenger counting data.If your company or anyone you know is in need for these kind of solutions, don't hesitate to contact me for further information. Our solutions are always fully rail and cyber security certified.
