About Daniela Aydin

Daniela Aydin is a Project Officer at the Council of Europe Development Bank, where she leads an EU-funded pilot project aimed at enhancing financial inclusion and access to microfinance for vulnerable communities, including Roma, in Bulgaria, Romania, and Slovakia. She also develops initiatives and research studies that promote equitable access to financial services and economic opportunities for marginalized communities across Europe. Before joining the Council of Europe Development Bank, she spent over 12 years at the Open Society Foundations, managing programs focused on social justice, economic empowerment, housing, and civic engagement across Central Asia, Eastern Europe, the Western Balkans, and Türkiye. Aydin is a Certified Expert in Microfinance from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. She holds a Master of Laws from the University of London and a Master of Arts in Public Administration from Central European University.
