About Daniela Detering

Enthusiasm, curiosity and ambition are fundamental, both at work and in my private life. I graduated in Business Administration, followed by a professional education in the Hotel- and Catering Industry in Germany. With more than +20 years of experience in 4* and 5* Hotels and Restaurants across Europe, I am familiar with the procedures, structures and requirements for guest services. Working in London, Milan, Madrid and Marbella, allowed me to gain an open mindset and an advanced knowledge in International Business Relations. In 2005 I contributed to the start-up of a 5* Hotel in Spain where I set-up the bar from the very beginning until a smooth flow with defined procedures and planning structures. After this experience I felt ready for more responsibility and opened-up an own restaurant with my family. During this activity I developed in entrepreneurship and gained insights of what is needed in a Small Business. With the wish to develop further in Hotel Management and to insert my language skills – I do speak fluent Spanish, English, German, Italian and French – I switched to a position as a Call Center Agent. Under the CLC World Resorts & Hotels Group I found the perfect match to combine my knowledges and expertise and had the chance to dive into Travel Arrangements. Travelling has always been my passion and working for the booking department, I was able to apply my language skills and my sense for customer needs. During my professional career, I acquired a complete and complementary vision of business processes and workflows, particularly in the field of the Hotel and Travelling Industry. I am used to work in teams and coordinate with pleasure customer needs with internal and external needs. At the same time, I enjoy taking operational roles and carry out activities independently. As an organizational talent I am not only strong in coordinating my family, but also my daily business. Being speedy, resting calm under pressure, communicating effectively with a clear vision of customer needs and keeping always the overview are part of my working skills. My family and I live in Marbella and I do enjoy, to spend my private time with my family and our two Shepherd dogs.
