About Daniela Nickols

I am a Partner in the Family team at Walker Family Law. I work within the geographical area of Bath, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. I specialise in all aspects of children work including child protection work and in particular, local authority applications to court in relation to children at risk of harm representing parents, and other relevant individuals (grandparents, foster carers, prospective adopters). As a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel since 2011 I am also able to represent children in both public and private law proceedings either directly or on their behalf through a court appointed guardian. I act on a regular basis for CAFCASS and agency guardians. I am a member of the Law Society and Resolution. I sit on Resolution's Children Committee. I enjoy the pursuit of knowledge and hold a Masters in International Relations (2004) and a Masters in Public Law (2013). I have taught Family Law on the LLB undergraduate degree course at the University of Bristol. I have taught on the Social Work MSc postgraduate degree course at the University of Bristol. I have been published in the Family Law Journal and on Family Law Week.
