About Daniela Pontieri

I am a PhD level molecular and cell biologist with bioinformatic skills and passion for innovative research. I have 12 years of international inter-disciplinary work experience from both academic and biotech environments. I have mainly focused on investigation of gene and protein expression in animal and in vitro models. I have profound hands-on experience with standard and specialized molecular techniques and biochemical approaches, as well as with bioinformatic RNA- and whole genome sequencing data analyses. I am particularly trained in molecular cloning, gene and protein expression analyses, in sterile techniques for work with cell cultures, specifically with mammalian, primary and insect cell lines, and in diverse microscopy techniques. In addition, I have solid experience in recombinant protein expression, isolation and purification. Moreover, I have experience with running administrative and operational tasks for a start-up biotech company: from procurement and meetings organization, to onboarding of new colleagues and webpage design. As a naturally organized and structured person, I have ability to hit short and focused deadlines and I thrive in an innovative multinational collaborative environment. I am an effective communicator with meticulous documentation and results presentation. As a colleague, I am very collaborative and I value inputs from all the colleagues, as I like to participate daily in results and data discussions.
