About Daniela Robinson

I’m a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at the Business Management & Organisation Group (BMO) at Wageningen University & Research (WUR). I coordinate the BSc Minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (WUINE) and lead BMO’s strategic theme on Innovation Management for Sustainability and Health. My research? It’s all about growing new ideas—focusing on innovation management, entrepreneurship, and finance in agri-food and agri-tech, with a soft spot for insights that actually make the world a little better. I hold a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Göttingen and have published in journals like Drug Discovery Today and the International Food and Agribusiness Management Review. I’ve also had the chance to share my work at diverse conferences and workshops like IFAMA, EAAE, ICAPE, and GeWiSoLa—because what’s the point of research if you’re not having a little fun with it? In the classroom, I teach innovation management and research methods, working to spark curiosity and support the next generation of life science and agri-tech innovators at WUR as they grow into ethical, inclusive, and thoughtful change-makers—and I promise to do my best to avoid boring lectures!
