About Daniela Sliwkowski

Daniela Sliwkowski, MS, LMHC, QS, EMDRPT-II® is a licensed mental health counselor, qualified supervisor, and EMDR trained therapist at the Miami Counseling & Resource Center. She grew up in Miami and received an MS in Professional Counseling Psychology from Florida International University and a BA in Art Therapy from Emmanuel College. Before joining the Miami Counseling & Resource Center in 2022, Daniela worked as an assistant clinical director and clinical supervisor at a nationally recognized eating disorder treatment center treating adolescent and adult women. She continues to be involved in the field supporting other professionals as a qualified supervisor for registered interns and as secretary of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDP) Miami Chapter. Daniela has provided comprehensive and effective treatments since 2012 targeting complex struggles in a variety of clinical settings. Specifically, she has experience in providing individual, family, couples, and group therapy at the inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and outpatient levels of care. Daniela also spent six years specializing in the treatment of various eating disorders, depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance use, and other associated struggles. Daniela takes an integrative approach when using evidenced-based treatments and person-centered techniques. She not only employs highly effective therapies such as EMDR, RO-DBT, CPT, DBT, CBT, and ACT, but she also incorporates experiential and expressive therapies to enhance the treatments’ reach. When counseling her clients, Daniela values building rapport, trust, and confidence. She is passionate about creating a safe space to provide individualized care that will give her clients the tools they need to heal and live a fulfilling and meaningful life.
