About Daniela Tabilo

I received my Bachelor's degree in Zoology from Texas A&M University in 2019. I am currently the Shorebird Program Coordinator with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. I work with multiple partners and stakeholders to improve conditions for shorebird populations in Florida. Previously, I was the Wildlife and Landscape Biologist and Wildlife Assistance Biologist with FWC and a research technician at Universidad Nacional de Asuncion at the Nucleo de Investigacion de Biodiversidad (Biodiversity Research Team). I'm interested in conserving wildlife and studying human-wildlife interactions in an everchanging landscape. I am passionate about environmental education and have participated in conferences and educational events. I have also been a TA for a Research Methodology course at Universidad Nacional de Asuncion. I am an advocate for at-home sustainability and created Tote Py, a small reusable bag business in Paraguay that promotes eco-friendly living through reducing the consumption of single-use plastics. I strive to approach conservation from an interdisciplinary angle; using both science and community outreach/education to advance conservation.
