About Daniela Vasile

Every person will be the best they can be when they have a sense of belonging, connectedness, when they are allowed to fail, and they are supported in their journey. My own learning journey continues to be very steep - I learned that a leader does not have to be right at the beginning of the meeting, but at the end of it, by creating space for thought and discussion, by listening to all participants and by making an informed decision. I learned that every member of each team has something to offer and this something needs to be acknowledged, celebrated and skilfully used for the benefit of us all; I learned how to learn with a whole team. I learned about myself. Education, people say, has to be about preparing students for the future. While the goal is very clear, no one seems to know how to achieve it. How can we prepare students for an unpredictable future, when it is so difficult to prepare them for today? I aim to enable students to become the best that they can be today. A student who is happy, motivated, knowledgeable, confident, reflective and proud of himself today owns the tools to reinvent himself tomorrow. I aim to open up to students new worlds by telling them where to look, but not what to see. I am an enabler - enabling co-construction of knowledge, enabling collaboration and communication, enabling reflective processes, enabling students to empower themselves. I plan for the top of my class and scaffold for everyone to get there.
