About Daniella Devinter
Filmmaker, writer, and PhD student at Cambridge. I took my bachelor's at Oxford, graduating in German with two Gibbs Prizes for the highest degree in the languages faculty and the Worcester Society prize for the highest results in arts subjects. I stayed on at Oxford for a master’s in Comparative Literature and Critical Translation, and came to Cambridge to complete my doctoral research on Rainer Werner Fassbinder. Outside academia I write commissioned projects for TV, and direct commercial and independent films. I've also sat on the juries of UK film festivals and have worked as a journalist and copy editor in Munich. My main languages are English, German, and Danish, though I also have experience across Swedish, Norwegian, and French.
