About Danielle A. Bazinet

I am a learning designer with expertise in creativity and innovative curriculum designs. I believe in the importance of attainable objectives and student-focused design principles. I believe that curricula should teach knowledge and content as well as transferable skills that are applicable to any career. I am an experienced educator having taught in PK-12 and higher education for over 20 years. I am a leader in performing arts, gifted education, interdisciplinary, and STEAM curriculums. I am a seasoned instructional designer passionate about student-focused learning experiences and real-world applications that incorporate 21st-century skills and UDL. I am a lifelong learner having completed my EdD in leadership in higher education from Regis College, a MA in Dance and Dance Education from NYU, and a dual (BA) in Theater Education and Communications from Regis College. Currently, pursuing an advanced certificate in Instructional Design from Bridgewater State University. Recent projects include:* Board member and secretary of Arts|Learning, a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of the arts in Massachusetts K-12 schools.* A state and national conference presenter.*A curriculum consultant and writer for the Massachusetts Arts Frameworks and The Foundational Skills as well as a writer for the dance teacher licensure exam.*Coordinator of the Dance Honors Society and educational consultant for New England Dance Academy.Founding member of the Massachusetts Dance Education Organization.* Research Interests include- arts education and advocacy, the benefits of studying improvisation and its ability to foster 21st-century skills, the 4C’s, and preparing students with transferable skills necessary for any future career.
