Hello! I'm Danielle Beckmann. I'm a bicoastal comedic actress and filmmaker with a penchant for creating community in the film industry, especially when it comes to women, filmmakers of color, and LGBT+ filmmakers. As a member of Women in Film and The FilmmakeHers, I am a champion and advocate for artists. ACTRESS AND FILMMAKER I am the proud co-founder of my production company Brooklyn Quarter based in Los Angeles. In 2019, I produced and starred in the award-winning narrative short film Liza Anonymous, which made its world premiere debut at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival. In 2022, I produced and starred in the narrative short Tiki Bar Funeral Home, and likewise produced and starred in the dark comedy short Ex-Husband were I play opposite SNL vet Bobby Moynihan. I also plays the title character of Sam in the horror comedy short Sam & Kiki produced by Sundance Fellow Rashad Frett, coming to festivals in 2023. TABLETOP RPGS / NERD LIFE AND MORE I have 6 years of experience playing tabletop role playing games in front of and behind the camera. You can watch my on the current TTRPG show Novel Chronicles, and also catch me hosting panels at WonderCon and San Diego Comic-Con, a crowning achievement of my nerd life. I am also a freelance video editor for the London Stock Exchange Group, as well as a creative coach with my company The Spirited Storyteller.
