She began her legal career at one of the nation’s largest and most prestigious law firms, Greenberg Traurig, where she gained extensive experience in complex commercial civil litigation. She started COHEN LAW in 2009 with the mission and commitment of providing excellent yet cost efficient legal services to small businesses and individuals and continues with that commitment today. Cohen currently represents many businesses and individuals in a vast array of civil arenas including commercial litigation, shareholder disputes, contract disputes, construction litigation and catastrophic personal injury. Cohen was granted the honor of early admission to the University of Florida where she received her Bachelor’s Degree with Honors in Philosophy and a minor in Spanish. Following her desire to assist those in the pursuit of justice, Cohen attended Florida State University Law School where she received several honors such as the Book Award in Advanced Civil Procedure. Cohen swiftly completed her collegiate and juris doctorate education and accomplished being sworn in as Florida Licensed attorney at only 24 years of age. She has been practicing civil litigation for sixteen years. Cohen is also committed and very active in giving back to the South Florida Community by serving as a County Commissioner for the Miami Dade County Board of County Commission. Previously, she also served on the Board of Directors for the South Florida American Heart Association, Board of Directors of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Young Ambassador and as a Mentor/ Board Member for Take Stock in Children.
