About Danielle Currie

As a dedicated MYP Music teacher for Years 7-11 at the British School Jakarta, I actively contribute to curriculum development, creating original materials tailored to inspire diverse learners. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I have the privilege of leading the Viva Voce Choir and the Jombang Orchestra, where I work closely with talented young musicians to prepare for prestigious events such as the Advanced FOBISA String and Choir Festival. I believe that music is a powerful medium for self-expression and personal growth, and I strive to create an inspiring, collaborative environment for all my students With over 19 years of teaching experience across Elementary, Middle, and High School levels in the United States, South Korea, and Singapore, I have a strong background in designing engaging curriculum and developing students’ musical skills. My previous role as Assistant Head of Music at Stamford American International School in Singapore involved leading a team of educators, conducting ensembles, and creating integrated arts and online curricula. My passion for music education drives me to nurture creativity, teamwork, and excellence in every student I work with. I hold a Master of Science in Music Education from The College of Saint Rose, along with certifications from the State of New Jersey and the International Baccalaureate.
