My contribution to the future of education at Pleasant Valley High School spans over two decades, focusing on pioneering Information Technology and Business education. High school business courses taught include: Introduction to Business, Marketing, Personal Finance, and a concurrent EICC college credit course, Employment Stategies. Business technology courses taught include Micro Computer Applications, Microsoft Certifications, and Adobe Digital Media I & II. With a Master of Arts in Teaching and Leadership, my journey has been marked by developing and aligning curriculum to Iowa Core and NBEA standards, integrating technology tools to enrich learning. The professional learning community teams I work with to develop curriculum has a commitment to creating lessons that foster problem-solving, teamwork, and soft skills. Leveraging educational technology and a Master Educator certification, we have empowered students with exceptional business knowledge, Microsoft Certifications, and cutting-edge skills in Web Design and Digital Marketing, ensuring they are well-equipped for the digital landscape and careers in business.
