About Danielle Denton

Personal Statement As an Artist and Educator, I welcome collaboration amongst colleagues’ and other educators. I have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, which cultivate and sustain strong relationships. My enthusiasm, personality, strong work ethic, and passion for teaching prove I would be an asset to any school. I have experience in a selfcontained, technology integrated classroom environment, and I am familiar with the UBD (Understanding by Design) lesson curriculum planning. My extensive Arts background allows me to see opportunity for engaging multiple intelligence learners by offering differentiated lessons, which include Digital Arts, Animation, Illustration, Paper Mache, Painting,Ceramics, Drawing, Sewing andTextiles. In my 15 years of teaching, I have been fortunate, and have had many opportunities to teach students with a vast range of learning abilities. With practice in The Responsive Classroom Approach, and SEL, I cultivate a safe atmosphere in which students can learn and easily transition from one creative lesson to the next. I strive to provide a diverse, safe learning environment that meets the academic, social, creative, emotional, and physical needs of the individual. I am a resourceful and imaginative teacher, highly trained in a wide array of artistic mediums. I possess talent for instilling art appreciation, and promote creativity and open-mindedness. I have the ability to maintain a well-disciplined and highly motivated classroom and will offer individualized support and provide positive encouragement to ensure that each child succeeds. I am enthusiastic about teaching and creating art in an environment where I can foster student growth and can be part of academic excellence and a creative community.
