Background
About Danielle Dimezza
I graduated in 2019 from Seton Hall University with a Bachelors Degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences. After graduation, I began my career at UMass Medical School as a Clinical Research Assistant. Throughout my two years there I was promoted twice, leaving with the title Clinical Research Coordinator II. At UMass I was able to build the foundation of my knowledge in a research environment and work across various studies centered around cardiac and neurologic related health issues. I also worked on multiple COVID-19 projects centered around community outreach and device testing. In September of 2021, I was hired by iSpecimen as a Project Coordinator. iSpecimen is a biotech company that works with clients who request specimens for various research purposes and we supply them with the specimens from sites who are capable of collecting. I specifically work with those sites who supply our specimen prospectively. I oversee anywhere between 25-30 projects at a time. I work in direct communication with these sites and various internal departments to ensure smooth processes and understanding of project goals. These sites are located all over the world and can work on various projects at a time. As a PC, my duties include performing feasibility assessments for upcoming projects, creating and distributing SOWs/POs specific to each project and each site, training collection sites, monitoring data entry, coordinating shipments, ensuring proper billing of the sites and customers, and providing overall project management. Working so closely with the sites, I am able to build trusting relationships with them and meet on a weekly to monthly basis to go over upcoming, active, and closing projects. Recently I earned the promotion to Prospective Collections Manager, where I will keep many of my similar tasks as a coordinator, while taking on the full responsibility of project feasibilities and early development. I'll be working closer with Sales as well as our Site Development team to better understand which projects are best for our sites. Communication is key when the majority of iSpecimen works remotely, as well as, always virtually meeting with all our sites and clients. I strive to be clear and concise while maintaining a positive attitude. I love working closely and connecting with my team members while having the ability to work remotely. This allows me to take initiative and self motivate while knowing I have the support of my colleagues to achieve our shared goals. I hope to earn my Master of Public Health degree from Regis College in Spring 2024.
