About Danielle Drake

Trained in dance since the age of 3, by the time I was 13 it became my full time passion. Now in my early twenties I am continuing to use my dance background and practical knowledge of human movement to help others in everyday life. I continued my education at CSUN receiving a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology as an Exercise Science major. In addition to my academics I also interned at the Sports Clubs Athletic Training Center on campus assisting athletes with their workout regimes to better prepare them for competition in sport. I worked at CSUN's Center of Achievement as a lifeguard as well as working with clients using adaptive land and aquatic therapeutic exercise programs. I also interned with a pediatric PT working with kids in aquatic therapy. Alongside that I work at the Simi Valley YMCA as a lifeguard as well as a swim and water fitness instructor working with patrons of all ages, sizes, and abilities to encourage healthy living through aquatics. Now I am currently a DPT student at CSUN and looking forward to continuing my education and further specializing in aquatic therapy. I don't know for sure where life will take me next, but I'm planning to go about it as full out as I can.
