About Danielle du Plessis

I graduated with a 3 year Diploma in Fashion Design, from the Design Academy of Fashion in Woodstock Cape Town. I currently work at Shopbop.com, as a fashion generalist. We are a customer service based company in the heart of the Cape Town CBD, working under the Amazon "umbrella". I recently celebrated my fifth year here at Shopbop.com as well. In terms of hours; we work 4AM to 3PM. We deal with customers all over the world, but we are a United States based company. I have had exposure to many different situations and different people over the phone, as well as email. It's been challenging at times, especially when it comes to language barriers, but it has also taught me patience and understanding for others. I have also learnt to work on many programs and a ticketing system, gor involved in training for new team members, and learnt a few thinga from my manager throughout the years. As much as I enjoy my job and created long term connections, I would love to grow further, and more than willing to work my way up. I know long days, hard work and would expect nothing else. I believe nothing good ever comes from staying in your comfort zone - it's the challenges that bring you out of it, and allow you to grow as a person, and that is what I'm ready for.
