About Danielle Fleming

I have been in the Healthcare Industry for over 25 years. I've held various roles in nursing and clinical leadership. These roles include Clinical Manager over ICU/PCU and 4 Medical-Surgical units, Clinical Supervisor in the Emergency Department as well as Clinical Nurse in the Adult and Pediatric ICU/ ER. Outside of these roles, I've also worked across several hospitals and healthcare systems. I've been involved in recruitment and onboarding of staff, scheduling, compliance and regulations, and much more. Several of the interesting and meaningful achievements in my career include the onboarding and training of numerous nursing staff to the departments. Managing the supply of direct resources leveraged in the healthcare units. Created and implemented new policies and procedures to ensure the safety of staff and patients (escalated during the Covid pandemic). Worked with our hospitals Quality unit to ensure provincial and federal regulations were followed. I have also managed and monitored the clinical budget for my unit. Healthcare and patient advocacy are my passion. Several family members have been involved in the healthcare industry. My passions include mentoring of new staff, education, improvement of hospital policies and procedures. The opportunity to work with and support fellow healthcare professionals continues to inspire me.
