About Danielle Franklin

I am an enthusiastic finance professional currently working as a Financial Accountant at Whakaata Māori, New Zealand’s national Indigenous media organisation. In this role, I prepare monthly financial statements, manage balance sheet reconciliations, and oversee fixed asset management, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards. Additionally, I support the preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets, contributing to informed decision-making within the organisation. In my previous roles, including as a Finance Business Partner, I gained valuable experience in financial analysis and stakeholder collaboration, helping teams understand their budgets and guiding them through financial processes. I was honoured to receive the 2024 Whakaata Māori award for living the Kia Pono value, which recognises commitment to integrity and inclusivity. I’m passionate about building my skills in finance and contributing to organisations that have a positive impact. I look forward to connecting with other professionals and learning from their experiences.
