About Danielle Gletow

After over a decade in interactive marketing for some amazing agencies and organizations, I founded One Simple Wish - a nonprofit that enables anyone to grant simple wishes to foster children and vulnerable families in the US. I have now dedicated my life to advocating for the rights and support of foster children in the United States. With a relatively invisible population of nearly children, foster kids face issues of abuse and neglect and experience homelessness, drug abuse, teen pregnancy and poverty at rates far exceeding the general public. With my experience in interactive marketing and my strong passion for helping kids, I created an organization that makes it simple and affordable for anyone to help a child in need. My work has been featured in The Christian Science Monitor, Woman's World and The Star Ledger and on NBC Nightly News, The Nate Berkus Show and numerous local news stations throughout the United States. In March 2013, I was named a CNN Hero. Since 2013 I have been recognized by countless other media outlets though the greatest recognition continues to come from those whose lives have been positively impacted by our work. In June 2018, I founded Trenton Animals Rock - a nonprofit dedicated to providing medical care, foster care, adoption and support to injured, abused and neglected animals in Trenton, NJ. Since we began we have rehabbed and adopted out hundreds of dogs and have been so successful in our work that the Trenton Animal Shelter was officially declared a No Kill Shelter in October 2020. This is a huge achievement for an open-intake municipal shelter in a high-volume urban area. We continue to work on improving shelter conditions for animals in need and expanding services for the community.(tarnj.org) Specialties: Advocating for foster children, interactive marketing, kicking *ss at everything I do
