About Danielle Golladay

Person first and patient second. That has been my motto my entire healthcare career. In 2010 I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease at the age of 15. That experience is what led me on my path into healthcare. The diversity of the medical field has always been amazing to me, with there always being an opportunity to learn something new. During my college years I was a waitress, which helped me grow my communication and customer service skills. When I finally decided it was time to work in a field I was ultimately interested in, I started out as a Certified Nursing Assistant in 2016 at a long term care facility. There I was able to care for many residents and learn their stories - And while I helped them with their activities of daily living, I believe I was the one who was helped by them. It became very clear to me that caring for others is a passion of mine. After graduating nursing school in 2019, I started working on Heart/Neuro/Vascular PCU caring for those with a variety of different medical issues. Working nights I learned the value of teamwork as well as how to work with limited resources. After the peak of Covid-19, I moved to an outpatient setting at the Pain Management Clinic where I am currently. My favorite aspect of working in pain management is being able to see those who come to us with great amounts of pain improve. There is nothing better than a patient letting you know that they have their life back and that they are able to do things that they haven't been able to do in years. Outside of work, I have spent my summers working with Empowerteen, an organization based in Portland, Oregon that works with at-risk teens, I love to spend my free time with friends going to see live music, musical theater and playing a very competitive canasta tournament with my extended family!
