About Danielle Hall

It takes two to tango; I know because I spend my days building and strengthening relationships. Over the past five years as a College Coach, I’ve guided students through their academic, personal, and professional journeys, helping them navigate challenges, celebrate successes, and step confidently into their futures. My passion for student support started with my B.A. in Communication Studies from California State University, Long Beach, and was further solidified through my M.S. in College Counseling and Student Development from Azusa Pacific University. Since then, I’ve honed my ability to empower students holistically—affirming who they are while equipping them with the tools to thrive in higher education and beyond. Outside of one-on-one coaching, I’ve led training sessions for colleagues on effective student engagement strategies. For example, I co-presented 'Breaking Down Oppression & Building Up Equitable Relationships: Dismantling White Supremacy in Coaching' at the Coaching in Higher Education Consortium (CHEC), where I explored how White Supremacy manifests in student-coach and advisor relationships, offering strategies for reflection and equity-driven engagement. I’ve also authored articles, like "So, you didn’t get the internship. Now What," on securing and excelling in internships. I developed accessible resources—such as webinars, instructional videos, and infographics—to help students navigate online tools and successfully transfer from community college to a four-year university. I also contribute to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging initiatives within my organization, shaping policies and practices that foster a more inclusive growth environment for all staff. At my core, I believe students’ growth and well-being are just as important as their academic goals. I strive to be a part of their support system—whether through coaching, advocacy, or resource development—because when students feel seen, valued, and empowered, they can achieve anything.
