BACKGROUNDI am a passionate criminal lawyer practising in Queensland. I pride myself on being thorough and frank with my clients, ensuring that they understand every nuance of their matter, how it will proceed through the criminal justice system, and all the options available to them.My file load consists of clients charged with a variety of criminal and traffic offences including violence, sexual offending, traffic matters, and white-collar crimes. I am a big advocate for restorative justice and have successfully assisted many clients in having their charges resolved out of court in mediation. I also do a lot of work for my clients during the police investigation stage and in applications for parole. I have particular interests in domestic violence matters and in working with clients who are facing criminal charges and suffer from mental illnesses. I currently volunteer as a lawyer with the Griffith University Innocence Project, a pro bono service committed to freeing innocent persons who have been wrongly convicted in Australia.
