About Danielle Illum

I am a current senior at the University of Arkansas studying Apparel Merchandising and Product Development and Business Management. I am actively working on my honors thesis comparing sustainability practices between fast fashion and luxury fashion brands that will include a content analysis and an advertisement campaign. I represented the largest Greek Life organization, Zeta Tau Alpha Epsilon Chapter, as Academic Achievement Chair, which is a position that sits on the Executive Council. This position included promoting and achieving academic excellence, event planning, and providing leadership for over 500 women. For the Spring 2023 academic semester, I was accepted into the University of Arkansas Study Abroad Program based in Rome, Italy where I took courses in fashion design and international relations. From this experience, I learned unique problem solving skills, gained empathy and understanding from a global perspective, and learned how to create fashion collections from a world class fashion illustrator and costume designer. I traveled to numerous cities within Italy along with eight countries, which provided me with independent travel organization and planning skills and a broader worldview. Through multiple job experiences, I have developed skills in customer service, negotiation, and multiple ordering platforms. I develop rapport quickly, work effectively with different types of personalities, have a strong work ethic, and am a self starter who can work in person or remotely. I can make an immediate and positive impact in the excellence of any company!
