About Danielle Jamrog

I am a recent graduate of Michigan State University. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from Lyman Briggs College, as well as specializing in Bioethics, Humanities, and Society and minoring in Spanish. Along with my degree from Lyman Briggs, I also graduated from the Honors College. In my time working at MSU Greenline, I have learned many valuable skills outside of my education. Working in a telemarketing program, although we prefer to not call ourselves that, I have learned the many communication and leadership skills that are applicable to any line of work. As a caller, I was tremendously successful, receiving many awards for my positive attitude and performance. In total, I have raised over for Michigan State University, which is far above any other caller, supervisor, or manager in the program. As a supervisor, I have worked with many teams of callers to pass along the skills I have in order to create a more successful program. I also volunteer with Heartland Hospice of Mason. As a respite volunteer, I visit 1 to 2 patients weekly to provide a friendly visit to help brighten their day. I do many things with the patients, like chat, watch TV, play cards, read books, sing, etc, during our visits. My purpose as a respite volunteer is to be a friend and to take away from the constant reminder of the patient's diagnosis and prognosis that patients sometimes feel. I am simply there to bring them a smile. My time in hospice has furthered my values and ideals of altruism and respect for all people.
