AALAS Certified Laboratory Animal Technician in April 2010 with an AA degree in Business Administration from CCBC Essex May 2019. Pending BS Degree in Animal Science from Unity College. Have a very keen sense of detail and organization, with over 10 years of experience as a Research Resources Manager of several UMB centralized animal care programs in the program of Veterinary Resources and 5 years of employment with National Institutes on Aging. Ability to Learn Fast while showing versatility – able to learn new procedures and train incoming staff and students. Coordinating daily husbandry activities of the centralized program in animal care and maintain supervision of a staff of a minimum of 7 and more than 34 animal care technicians. Lead the management team in implementation of program directives and bring novel approaches to meeting critical needs of the program. Successfully interact with research scientists in bridging animal care with meeting their unique and diverse needs. Successful preparation of and key participant in achieving and maintaining Full Accreditation of UMB’s Associations for the Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International accreditation, a prestigious benchmark of a quality animal care program
