Background
About Danielle Kelley
Danielle Kelley, a childhood trauma survivor founded her voice at a Pittsburgh out of darkness walk, hosted by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in 2021. She held on to hope and began to heal from her childhood trauma and within this time found a deeper passion to not only end the stigma, but generational trauma. During the beginning of her healing journey, she rallied with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention by attending walks, but not long after joined the education/tabling committee. When she left her first Out of Darkness Walk, she felt heavily impacted and the light shined brighter than it ever did. She began training to advocate and attend tabling events to promote hope, healing and awareness for suicide prevention and mental health. She wanted to bring hope and healing closer to her community, so that is exactly what she did. And here we have, Healing Hearts and Minds, one event at a time, an annual event hosted in Monroeville every August at the tall trees amphitheatre in Monroeville. Our mission is to Educate, Empower and Guide the community to hope and healing using a trauma informed and holistic approach. For the last three years, we have hosted an event, Healing Hearts and Minds, one event at a time to promote awareness for mental health and suicide prevention within our Monroeville community. We offer this event annually and the proceeds from our basket auction benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, a non profit we are honored to volunteer with for the last five years. We are always seeking partners to collaborate with and bridge the gaps between communities, professionals, civilians and most importantly, our youth. We continue to create community service projects and collaborate with other non profits, healers and community members to end generational trauma and promote a village within our society. Together we are not alone. We do not treat, cure, or diagnose our clients, but offer the opportunity to self connect, heal, hope and thrive while you are alive. You are worthy. You are loved. You are not alone. Here, YOU are empowered, educated and guided
