About Danielle Kiser

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Experienced Secondary English teacher with a demonstrated history of successful work in public and public charter schools. Ten years of education experience, 5 years of secondary English education. Skilled in writing, leadership, problem analysis, coaching, communication, and easily adaptable. Strong professional educator with two bachelor’s degrees—BS in Psychology from the University of New Orleans and a BA in Secondary English Education from the University of North Florida. CURRENT ROLE: I plan and implement lessons using a variety of school supplied and individually sourced resources. I teach students of all levels. In the last two years, I have taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. This year, in addition to teaching ELA, I teach a mentorship elective, help with Student Council, tutor weekly, contribute to yearbook and my school’s weekly newsletter, as well as participate in my school’s Saturday Academy program. I also serve as team lead for 7th and 8th grade teachers. I am passionate about not only my content but also about the social-emotional well-being of my students. I believe that a good teacher both knows their content and has trusting, healthy relationships with their students. I work hard in my position to cultivate those relationships, and I am so grateful to my fellow staff and students who do the same.
