About Danielle Lewin

I currently work in Child and Youth Mental Health services where focussing on the importance of intensive and crisis mental health intervention for youths and their families is our directive as a team. As a part of the Metro south Acute Response Team based at Logan & Redlands hospital we provide triage and management for the acute presentations of mental health concerns for children and youths. I have worked as part of a multidisciplinary team to investigate the ongoing requirements for this service and to establish policies and procedures for clinical care in an acute mental health context. Through this opportunity I am expanding my skill set in policy and procedure development and business framework planning for healthcare services. Previously as a Correctional health nurse I engaged as a member of the team providing primary care and working with a vast range of presentations and complexities in health care. This has given me the ability to remain flexible and efficient under pressure and increased workload demands. I am currently studying to expand my knowledge and clinical practice and look forward to opportunities to better provide advocacy for my patients. I strive for excellence and will continue to seek improvement processes to allow positive consumer engagement within the health service.
