With years of experience in administrative support, journalism, and photography, I have developed strong organizational, problem-solving, and storytelling skills. As an administrative assistant at an engineering firm, I managed communications, client inquiries, and technical documentation, streamlining processes to enhance efficiency. This role strengthened my ability to coordinate projects, improve workflows, and support high-level management in a fast-paced environment. My passion for photography led me to earn an AAS in Photography, where I gained hands-on experience in film processing, darkroom techniques, and visual storytelling. This foundation became invaluable as I pursued a BS in Journalism and Communications at the University of Oregon. Through my coursework, I deepened my understanding of media ethics, investigative reporting, and data-driven journalism, learning how to integrate my photographic skills to craft compelling narratives. Contributing to student and local publications provided me with real-world journalism experience and opportunities to refine my storytelling techniques. Beyond academics, my professional background spans multiple industries. At Wayfair, I managed office inventory and implemented a tracking system that improved restocking efficiency. As a front desk coordinator at Express Employment Professionals, I handled high-volume calls and designed a more streamlined paperwork process, reducing errors and increasing turnaround times. Currently, as an equipment operator at Bi-Mart Distribution Center, I oversee order fulfillment and utilize my forklift certification to improve warehouse operations. My dedication to journalism was recognized through the John Edward Egan II Memorial Journalism Scholarship, awarded for excellence in the field. Additionally, I received the Osher & Crankstart Re-Entry Scholarship, acknowledging my perseverance in returning to higher education. As Co-Director of the Non-Traditional Student Union at the University of Oregon, I worked to improve resources and foster a supportive environment for nontraditional students.
