About Danielle Long

I was the Lead Teacher at Courthouse Montessori school in their Fitness and Health departments. I separated from the Navy in February of 2015 to pursue my passion in fitness training. I developed my skills while in the military by being a Command Fitness Leader for 2 years and a group fitness participant for 8 years. I was certified through ISSA as a Personal Trainer by the end of my enlistment and then I immediately enrolled in their degree program to begin my training for an Associates in Exercise Science. Upon finishing my schooling I have gained an Associates in Sports Sciences as well as multiple certifications and have gained the status of Elite Fitness Trainer. During my enlistment I volunteered in child care positions which involved providing nutritional food options for children (ages 0 - 6) and mediate education through the word of God. I was also able to create fun activity experiences which instilled a degree of curiosity and exercise awareness. I have experience working with military personnel in a group fitness setting and through schooling. I personally conducted hundreds of body mass calculations and administered multiple Physical Readiness Exams for military personnel. I want my passion for a healthy lifestyle, love for people and drive to help others to lead me towards a future in continuing education through fitness. I hope to use LinkedIn to further my knowledge through networking in the fitness and nutrition world.
