About Danielle Lyons

Danielle is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) with extensive experience assessing, developing and implementing behavioural interventions utilising an Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) framework. Danielle obtained her Bachelors Degree in Behavioural Science (Psychology) in American College Dublin. Following this she continued her studies in Trinity College Dublin and was awarded a M.Sc. in Psychology (Applied Behaviour Analysis). Danielle has comprehensive experience working in early intervention ABA settings with children with developmental disabilities and additional needs, as well as working with older children and adults with varying abilities in different educational, day and residential settings. This experience includes drawing on the principles of ABA to design interventions to suit the needs of the individual. Danielle has comprehensive knowledge and experience in using developmental assessment tools including the ABLLS-R and VBMAPP, as well as conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA), and analysing the results of these assessments to inform the development of individualised education plans, and behaviour support plans. Danielle has extensive experience evaluating behavioural data to monitor and implement Behaviour Support Plans to promote skill development in individuals who require additional support in reaching their full potential. Danielle has completed research on the effects of video modelling on daily living skills acquisition with individuals with a diagnosis of autism. She has a keen interest in contributing to the research relating to the effectiveness of early intervention delivered through and ABA framework for individuals with developmental disabilities, as well as investigating the effectiveness of behavioural interventions in the applied setting. Danielle is committed to disseminating Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and it’s applications throughout Ireland.
