About Danielle Manning

Danielle qualified as a social worker in 2015 at the National University of Galway. Since graduating I have gained experience working with the Child and Family Agency across two social work teams; children in care and child protection. My first role involved working with children who were assessed as being at risk and subsequently admitted into care under the legal framework of Child Care Act 1991. My second role involved carrying out a comprehensive assessment to ascertain if a child protection or welfare concerns was present that place children at significant harm or risk. My present role is working with individuals and families who have been affected by a brain injury. My role supports individuals to regain their independence following their traumatic injury. Danielle's educational background includes a honours degree in social care at LIT and more recently a masters in social work at NUIG. Danielle has a interest in family support, mental health, sociology as well as feminist studies. Her future goals include completing a PhD.
