About Danielle Mauragis

I’m a veterinary imaging specialist with more than 30 years of experience in diagnostic imaging and education. After retiring from the Diagnostic Imaging Service at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, I joined the Choice Medical team in February 2020, where I continue to support high‑quality imaging and training.Throughout my three decades at the UF Veterinary Hospitals, I performed radiography, computed tomography, and nuclear medicine; assisted with ultrasonography; and taught veterinary students the fundamentals of imaging physics, technique, and radiology quality control. In the final seven years of my tenure, I focused exclusively on performing and teaching ultrasound within the hospital and at conferences nationwide.I’m the co‑author of Handbook of Radiographic Positioning for Veterinary Technicians and a contributing author for VMX publication Today's Veterinary Practice Small Animal Radiography: Essential Positioning Guide and Small Animal Ultrasonography. I earned my associate degree in veterinary technology from St. Petersburg College in Largo, Florida.
