I worked as a Teachers Aid and Grader for a semester. This position gave me the opportunity to really test the extent of my debugging skills. Being able to search through code to find the smallest incorrect details and figure out how to correct it in a timely manner is a crucial skill to have for this position. Having practiced this skill in my position is something that sets me apart from other applicants.Recently I’ve been able to be a part of a research team investigating the effect aspect ratio has on the phenomenon of hysteresis after a stall. In this team I was able to build my experience with report writing, wind tunnel research, and in project management. Balancing scheduling time in the wind tunnel lab and my team's many different schedules allowed me to step into a leadership position in this team and plan how we were to execute this project. This project management experience makes me a good fit for this position because it helped me grow in both leadership experience and in my teamwork skills.I have held multiple leadership positions in which I built my communication skills. I pride myself on being able to respond effectively and efficiently while also providing consistent direction. While being able to be a leader, I also consider myself a good team player. From my resume you can see that I hold a position in STEM Outreach. This is a team while during our school visits, we always work in at least pairs. In this position, I constantly communicate with the students we are teaching and my team members. I believe communication, whether from a leader or a team member is what makes a team successful.
