About Danielle McCrea

I'm a writer and educator who has built a career rooted in these two passions. The way I see it, writing and teaching are expressions of the same desire — the will to connect, to make meaning and to invite others into a deeper understanding. I've built a 14-year career as a copywriter and content strategist. I've helped brands across industries refine their messaging, engage audiences and drive sales through high-quality content marketing. When it comes to breadth and skillset, I've done a lot, from developing brands from the ground up to crafting copy for website launches, refining sales materials, nailing pitch decks, iterating on ads and landing pages, maintaining ambitious content calendars, and writing every kind of digital copy imaginable. Today, I run Moonbaby Creative — a pseudo-agency that's mostly a one-man show, with access to a trusted creative network when big projects call for extra hands. Amidst all that, for a period of about eight years, my marketing work took a backseat so I could pursue another passion — working with young children and families. I completed two years of national service, teaching early childhood special education, and then decided to keep going. I earned a master's degree in Inclusive Early Childhood Education with a specialization in Constructivist Curriculum (Reggio Emilia, Montessori, Waldorf). I taught K-8 reading programs, led preschool and kindergarten classrooms, presented my own research at international conferences, designed professional development seminars and led curriculum initiatives as a pedagogy specialist. My work in education deepened my ability to distill complex ideas into clear, engaging narratives — whether for children, educators or the broader community. It also frames Moonbaby Creative as a storytelling and content strategy studio specializing in education brands, particularly those serving early childhood.
