Background
About Danielle N Martinez
I've been in the service industry since I was seventeen years old with the goal of saving up to apply to college, and now law school. I am a dedicated person, both to my studies and my career. I have had to juggle multiple jobs at once while also attending college classes full-time, which has perfected my time management skills. I have a strong drive to succeed in everything that I do, and I give 110% to all projects that I am involved in. While working to pay my way through college as a first-generation student, I have also received academic honors by being on the Dean's list and achieving university semester honors multiple times. Additionally, I mentored first-generation students, like myself, once a month at the university as a way to share the knowledge to navigate college that one can gain only through experience and trial and error. I found my passion to help other students when I was an orientation advisor in the summer of 2021, where I spent 40+ hours each week meeting with new students, and guiding them in the path that they most desire in college. I served as the Service Director of Always Texas, a spirit, service, and social organization that I co-founded with my peers, as well as a member of the Psi Chi International Honor Society. I have also served on the Student Conduct Board as a hearing member for cases of academic dishonesty and misconduct. Currently, I work at CASA of Travis County as a Child Advocacy Specialist. In this position, I supervise 19-21 volunteers that are each assigned to an open DFPS case as the court-appointed Guardian ad litem.
