About Danielle Parker

As a Community & Education Development Manager at Solar Options for Schools Ltd, I apply my passions for education, activism, and connecting people for a cause to the renewable energy and climate education sectors. I am responsible for the nationwide delivery of our unique education programme, growing and reporting on its impact through the development of our offering as leading educators on the benefits of clean, conscious energy use. Through engaging resources, events, and activities, I help inspire action among students, teachers, parents, and local communities. I have over 15 years’ experience working in education, and several years in social and environmental activism and project leadership. Now I am using my expertise to help grow the fledgling Good Work Cooperative whose mission it is to enable freelancers whose work is for social or environmental benefit to have more impact by sharing each others’ gifts and talents. We co-create communities of self-help to engage, collaborate, and take action in our key areas of expertise: energy, sustainability, and access. Through the Good Work Coop, I co-manage Green Doors events, an initiative that showcases energy efficient homes. My personal brand, CHI Unlimited, brings together Creativity, Hope and Innovation to address the intersecting challenges of social inequality, climate change, and the green skills shortage with the vision of a Just Transition at its core. I enjoy helping young people otherwise hidden to green industries to gain experience from and exposure to high-level leaders, career pathways, and skillsets within the many sectors that comprise these emergent fields of employment and entrepreneurship.
