About Danielle Plogmann Hardon

My hobby is uncovering new experiences through food, wine and travel. I apply that same thirst for knowledge to my career, asking questions that lead to a great story. My career as a storyteller has spanned journalism, PR/communications and marketing. I started in health care communications in January 2022. Previously, I spent seven years with the Rube's family of companies, where I specialized in digital content creation, brand advocacy, profitability and the customer experience. Rube's Steakhouse and Meat Market specializes in locally raised, black Angus, corn fed steaks, shipped to all 50 states. As someone deathly allergic to fish, I'm something of a red meat connoisseur and Rube's Steaks are second to none.I previously worked for the Iowa Department of Human Rights to ensure basic rights, freedoms and opportunities by empowering under-represented Iowans. In addition to personally assisting the Director, I had the pleasure of working with the Office of Native American Affairs. I was appointed by Governor Branstad to a Web Standardization committee, which recommended ways to improve online customer service for Iowans. Prior to working in the public sector, I served as Communications Director for the Republican Party of Iowa from 2009 - 2011, managing communications with media sources, the Iowa GOP website and social media outlets. Our communications efforts were part of a winning strategy that resulted in victories up and down the ballot, from the U.S. Senate to the Governor's Office and the Iowa House. I am also an experienced writer and broadcaster for radio, newspaper, television and web. For more than five years I produced television newscasts for KCRG-TV9 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.I'm always ready for the next exciting challenge, so let me know how I can help you!Specialties: critical thinking, finding solutions, time management, meeting goals and deadlines, data-driven decision-making, website publishing, project management, communicating with team members, public relations
