About Danielle Pratt

Hello, My name is Danielle Pratt and I currently serve as a Rehab Tech at OhioHealth. Prior to joining the OhioHealth team, I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Lifestyle Studies with a minor in Coaching Education from Ohio University. The coursework at OU prepared me to chase my dreams by ensuring that I knew how to work with the diverse populations I serve each day. These courses include: Introduction to Exercise Science, Human Dynamics, Aging and Physical Activity, Inclusive Recreation, Youth and Sports, Cultural Perspectives on Physical Activity, and Ethics and Risk Management. My dream of becoming a Cancer Exercise Specialist comes from personal experience. Three years ago, my mom was diagnosed with and beat cancer. Through this experience, I learned that one common fear was exercising safely during treatment when physical therapy wasn’t required. A class project later, my dream was born. Now, I spend sixteen weeks each year training with mom and others while learning from physical therapists, surgeons, and oncologists as part of the OhioHealth Cancer Run/Walk Club. This incredible group of women and men serve as a daily reminder of my why and I look forward to seeing where this journey takes me.
