About Danielle Psillos

I am currently completing my doctorate (Psy.D.) in clinical psychology with a concentration in health psychology at La Salle University. As part of my externship training, I am a clinician at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in the hematology and rheumatology departments. At this externship, I conduct psychological evaluations and provide individual or family therapy to patients and their families. I utilize a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework to help patients and their families develop coping strategies to manage emotional distress and physical pain. I have previous experience conducting group and individual therapy in both inpatient and outpatient settings with children, adolescents, adults and geriatric clients who present with a variety of psychological disorders such as bipolar disorder, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, and behavioral disorders. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), though I also like to incorporate evidence-based interventions from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as mindfulness techniques.
