About Danielle Ridley

I began my federal career in 2013 as a government contractor with DSFederal at the National Institutes of Health’s Center for Science Review. I worked with DSFederal for a year as an administrative assistant, until I was offered an opportunity to work for the U.S. Department Agriculture (USDA).In 2014, I joined USDA’s Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) as an Pathways management analyst intern (0343 Series) within their Marketing and Regulatory Program Business Services (RBPS) unit. After working within MRBPS for a year I was invited to join APHIS’s Legislative and Public Affairs, External Communication’s Office as an editorial assistant (1082 series). While working as an editorial assistant I excelled in correspondence management and went on to graduate from APHIS’s Basic Leadership Program while obtaining my masters in Environmental Management, while also working part-time at a local retail store.After graduation, I was offered an opportunity with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Research & Development as a program analyst (0343 Series). While there I served as special assistant to ORD’s Assistant Administrator for Administration which resides within the Immediate Office of the Assistant Administrator. While serving as a special assistant I helped manage ORD’s Management Council which consists of Deputy Directors across ORD. I also supported the who led ORD’s reorganization which impacted over 2,500 employees. After about 2 years, I was offered an opportunity within ORD's Office of Science Advisor, Policy & Engagement (OSAPE). While serving in my current role in OSAPE, I work as the Agency’s Embassy Science Fellows Program coordinator, and ORD’s environmental justice coordinator.Employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and equal opportunities are topic areas that interest me.
