About Danielle Romeril

As creative director of womenswear brand Danielle Romeril, I have significant design experience that has been key to the brand’s success and achievements since it emerged in 2012. An MA in Womenswear from the Royal College of Art enhanced by extensive design experience at international high end fashion houses, have helped me develop innovative collections that have been both critically and commercially successful; the brand has received NEWGEN support for five consecutive seasons, and has attracted top taste maker stockists including Dover Street Market and Matches, Joyce Honk Kong, I.T Hong Kong and Boon The Shop. Press Coverage includes, Vogue, Elle USA, I.D Magazine, Tank, The Telegraph amongst many others. I have also recently been nominated for WGSN Emerging Designer of the Year 2016 (April 2016). With respect to my approach to design, I have a contemporary design hand that focuses on relaxed, innovative womenswear. I have experience of working across a wide range of product groups; my strengths particularly lie in surface development, exciting fabric combinations and 3D stand development combined with 2D hand drawn design work. My design aesthetic strikes a beautiful, modern balance that is innovative with commercial appeal, feminine but never girly. As my production and in-house technical and administrative team expands, I now have the opportunity to devote a greater share of my time to purely focusing on design work. Hence, I wish to broaden my design portfolio to areas that are beyond the scope of my own brand through freelance and project-based design contracts. I look forward to bringing a flexible and perceptive attitude to new opportunities.
