About Danielle Saunders

As a Licensed Master Social Worker with a Master's degree from Fordham University, I am passionate about supporting and advocating for vulnerable youth and their families. I pride myself on building trusting relationships and empowering the individuals I support to be engaged in the process. Additionally, I have a Connecticut 071 Certification for School Social Work, which reflects my commitment to advancing my career and professional development. I have diverse and impactful work experiences in different settings, where I applied my skills in Individualized Education Program, Counseling, and Evidence-Based Practice (EBP). My most recent role was as a Clinical Social Work Intern at East Hartford Youth Services, where I provided mental health services and participated in community engagement. Previously, I was an ABA Instructor and Team Trainer at EASTCONN, where I delivered academic and behavioral interventions, and trained new staff on key elements of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA). I was also a QBS Certified Safety-Care Trainer, which enabled me to teach safety and crisis prevention skills. Additionally, I have extensive fieldwork experience in school settings, where I designed and implemented a group social work intervention for students on the autism spectrum, and facilitated their social and academic success. I aspire to join a team that values collaboration, diversity, and social justice.
